Four size classes, one allowance

Pick a class and the panel below re-forms a 6.5 m² Vloer wall out of it. The same money buys thirty-eight small works or three large ones; most members end up with a mix, because a wall of one size reads as wallpaper.

The short list

What we will not lend you

Not because we are precious. Because these are the five things that come back damaged, and the artist carries it when they do.

WITHDRAWNquarantine shelf 4Nine works off the floor this week · six at the conservator, three awaiting glass
  1. 01Anything declared above €8 000. That is the per-work ceiling on our policy and we will not lend over it, even if you offer to cover the difference.
  2. 02Unglazed pastel, charcoal or chalk. Four went out unglazed in 2019 and three came back with fingerprints in them.
  3. 03Anything into a kitchen, a bathroom, a south-facing conservatory, or within 600 mm of a radiator. We measure on the day and we will move it.
  4. 04Works an artist has flagged for a show. The flag stays up until the show closes, and we do not override it for a member who asks nicely.
  5. 05Anything to a venue that serves food at the wall, unless it is glazed and above 1.9 m. Two restaurants on our books, both under those terms.

Come and pull things out of the racks

The depot is open to members and to anyone thinking about it: Tuesday to Friday 10:00–17:30, Saturday 11:00–16:00. Bring the measurement of your wall and we will put a hang on the floor for you in half an hour.
