The wall belongs to the people who made it

Every square metre out on loan earns the artist who made the work 38% of what the member pays for it, for as long as it hangs. In 2026 that came to €56 140 across sixty-one people. Here is how the 1 184 m² currently out is divided between them.

Who is on the wall this autumn

Marthe Okkerse, white-haired, photographed outdoors in a grey wool coat

Marthe Okkerse

b. 1949, Roermond · lives on Boschstraat · graphite and carbon on gessoed board, nothing larger than 900 mm. With us since the first year. Her boards are the works members renew most often, and three have been bought off walls.

b. 1981, Hasselt · works in Genk · gouache and sandstone dust on linen, the dust dug out of the same quarry each spring. Her surfaces are matt and unglazed, which is why they come back with fingerprints and why we frame them deep.

  1. You keep the work. We hold it, insure it, lend it and give it back, and you can call it in for a show with four weeks' notice.
  2. You are paid 38% of every fee your work earns, by area and by day, on the 8th of the following month, with the statement showing which address and which dates.
  3. You set the declared value and we will argue with you about it once. Above €8 000 we cannot lend it at all.
  4. If a work is damaged, the conservator's bill is ours. If it cannot be repaired you are paid the declared value in full out of the claims pool, within thirty days.
  5. If a member buys the work, you take 62% of the declared value and we take the rest. We never discount your price to close a sale.
  6. Either of us can end it with one rotation's notice, and everything of yours comes back clean, glazed and re-wired at our cost.

Intake is twice a year

The next one is Saturday 7 March, 10:00–16:00 at the depot. Bring up to six works, framed or not, and a list of sizes. We take about one in four, we tell you on the day, and we say why. No submission fee and no portfolio by email — we need to see the surface.
